Design

Although inspired by the STRIKE and the SWING, the ORIGIN’s design has been optimized for maximum lightness and comfort. Staggered seams ensure the fabric and seams work efficiently to maintain a smooth profile and reduce shape deformation under load. The profile control is ideal for total stability and comfort during the ride.

Small radial cuts on the wingtips and back of the strut help to distribute tension evenly. Aligning the fibers along load paths allows for unprecedented stretch control. Located on the back of the strut, our refined Load Diffuser, made of overlapping panels of hard Mylar and Dacron, maintains a sleek profile, leading to ultimate stability, performance, and longevity.

The strut and two central segments of the leading edge on each side of the strut are made of HITEX 158g, a high tenacity polyester offering resistance to elongation, resulting in greater durability and performance. The remaining leading edge segments are crafted from Dacron 150g to ensure lightness and comfort.

The ORIGIN’s canopy uses TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 52g, while the trailing edge features the thicker TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 66g, similar to the STRIKE. These materials are distributed to handle different tensions, high pressures, and weight distribution across various areas.

Like the latest editions of our other wings, the central strut is completely straight, which allows for better control of deformation and twisting while reducing drag. The infill is lower and deforms less, extended almost all the way to the back.
